Our garden has flourished this year & with the addition of a few cut flower beds I have had blooms flowering all season. I love filling different vases & vessels with fresh cut flowers in our home but hate that they don't last. In prep for Autumn I decided to preserve some summer beauty by drying flowers from the garden that have lost their lustre & I won't see again until next Summer. I am new to this but I can honestly say its become an obsession. It's a great way to transition into Autumn & to avoid paying over the odds for shop brought dried flowers.

Who else loves thrifting for home decor? Whether it be something I actually need or something that will sit in my garage for months calling out for a make over, I just love finding things that I can transform. Are you team artificial or team real? I have made it no secret that I am the worlds worst plant lady so I stick firmly to artificial plants in our home with the exception of cut flowers which are a must in the Spring & Summer seasons. Cold & snow flurry days are the best days to stay indoors & create to your hearts content. Well thats how I spend my time anyway! I am looking forward to Spring more than ever with this bitter cold Winter outstaying its welcome! This Spring I want to fill the house with potting shed themed decor. Theres something about it that reminds me of a new lease of life & pottering around. I'm thinking aged pots, over worked tools, chippy & stone textures complimented with a backdrop of brilliant white!! So first up on my diy project list is these stone effect pots.

There is something about old books that I love. I don’t know whether its the smell, the history or the story behind them. If I had a spare room in the house I would create a library but instead I have created the next best thing…a wall of words. When in lockdown…DIY!!! I have been making the most of this time, getting all the projects off my chest that I have been thinking about for so long. In true Anna style I have lots of unfinished projects going on in the house & now is the time to get my butt into gear & finish them off.
